Snapshots of Spain, One

Original mixed media painting on 30" x 30" x 1.5" gallery-wrapped canvas

This series is inspired by views from a summer trip to northern Spain.  All are based off of snapshots either taken while exploring the countryside of Soria on a creative retreat or in Basque country along the northern coast. The focus for this collection was to loosen up and play: experimenting with color and adding in other tools and mediums such as oil pastel alongside my my trusty palette knife and acrylic paint.
